ECDC (Early childhood development centre) ECDC is doing an excellent work in educating children born to mothers in prisons in Nepal. As you know, if a mother goes to a prison in Nepal, her children often end up in the same prison if there is no one else in the close family to look after them (this is often the case). The children do not usually have access to education and they grow up in the cells with their moms. Just take a moment to imagine the future of such children! Some of the work ECDC have done is in the website: http://www.ecdc.org.np/index/index.html NDA (UK) chairman, Dr Phauda Thebe and executive member Dr Sudhir Lohani handed over Rs 1,51,000.00 to Miss Puspa Basnet , Chairman ECDL at KTM. Dr Hira Shrestha, a retired gynaecologist and active member of rotary club of Kathmandu west had participated NDA (UK) XXV AGM in August 2010 (Leicester). Dr Shrestha had made an appeal to NDA members to help for old people's home supported by her charity. With active contributions of members NDA (UK) was able to collect £ 650.00. Dr P Thebe, NDA (UK) chairman has handed over NRs 72,500.00 to Rotary Club KTM west.
