National seminar on "Healthy Ageing: Services for the older people of Nepal"

NDA (UK) , collaborating with Connect for Change, Nepalese Diaspora volunteering programme, organised a three day

national seminar on Healthy Ageing: Services for the older people of Nepal on 15-17 January 2009.

The seminar was inaugurated by the Health Minister Honourable G M Pokharel. The inauguration ceremony was well attended by representatives

from health and DFID ministry, Planning Commission, TU, IOM and local NGOs. 

There were nearly 100 participants, almost  half were doctors and nurses and other health workers who were trained.

Dr S Adhikaree have given a series of lectures, and conducted workshops.
