Professor B D Jha's UK Visit                             

Professor BD Jha, Head of Dept of Anaesthetics, National Academy of Medical Sciences,

Nepal and the President of Society of Anaesthesiologists Nepal (SAN) visited UK  from 30/03/2009 to

08/04/2009.

He was invited by the Royal College of Anaesthetists UK to attend a meeting from 30/03/2009

to 01/04/2009. The meeting took place in the Royal College of the Anaesthetists, with anaesthetists

of more than 11 different countries, including from south east of Asia. The meeting discussed  on

standardisation of anaesthetic services in the world. Prof Jha also presented a paper on

" Anaesthetic Service in Nepal". According to Prof Jha, The Royal College of Anaesthetists has agreed to

 support Nepalese postgraduate trainees in anaesthetics to get experience in UK Hospitals.

Prof Jha also visited Southampton anaesthetists (click) who have been providing an active support in Nepal

in the field of anaesthetics .

Dr Jha spent rest of his time visiting  Nepalese anaesthetists in the UK.

He shared his experience with Nepalese colleagues in the UK, and discussed about further

support from them in the post graduate training in anaesthetics in Nepal.
