Introduction – Medical Masterclass Specialty Teaching Series
The Medical Masterclass Specialty Teaching Series is a structured, high-level educational initiative developed for doctors across the training continuum, including IMT trainees, registrars, and consultants. Designed to support continuous professional development and clinical excellence, this programme delivers comprehensive, specialty-focused teaching aligned with UK practice and postgraduate training needs.
Each session is led by a consultant specialist with recognized expertise in their field, ensuring authoritative, evidence-based teaching with direct clinical relevance. The series spans all major medical specialties, providing a broad yet in-depth review of core and advanced topics essential for both day-to-day clinical practice and postgraduate examinations.
The programme is delivered as a monthly live webinar via Zoom, allowing flexible access for clinicians across different locations while maintaining interactive learning through case discussions and expert insights. The full series comprises 14 sessions, each contributing to a cohesive and progressive learning experience.
Importantly, the series is approved for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) by the Royal College of Physicians London, with a total of 14 CPD points awarded upon completion of the entire programme (i.e.1 CPD each session)
This initiative aims to create a consistent, high-quality learning platform that bridges knowledge gaps, enhances clinical decision-making, and fosters a collaborative academic environment among doctors at different stages of their careers.
