NDAUK Launches Free Community Health Check-Up and Awareness Project 2026

Empowering the Nepali Community through Preventive Healthcare

The Nepalese Doctors Association UK (NDAUK) is proud to announce its active involvement in an upcoming community health initiative — the Free Health Check-Up & Health Awareness Program, scheduled for Saturday, 4th April 2026, at Harrow Football Club, Earlmead, HA2 8SS. The event will run from 10 am to 4 pm and welcomes all members of the community — no appointment necessary.

This collaborative project is organized by Magar Sangh and Mahila Magar Sangh (Wembley Branch) and the Gurkha Welfare Society UK, with strong support from NDAUK and the Nepalese Nursing Association UK (NNAUK). The initiative embodies our shared mission to make healthcare accessible, preventive, and community-centred.

What the Project Offers

Participants will have access to a range of free health assessments, including:

Cardiovascular and diabetes screening

Blood pressure checks

Height and weight measurements

Dental assessments

Consultations on heart disease and diabetes risk

All services will be provided by qualified volunteer doctors and nurses from NDAUK and NNAUK, ensuring high-quality, professional care in a friendly community setting.

Why This Matters

Preventive healthcare is at the heart of NDAUK’s mission. Many chronic illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease can be managed or even prevented with early detection and education. This program aims to raise awareness about these conditions and promote healthier lifestyle habits within our growing Nepali community in the UK.

By offering free consultations and screenings, NDAUK hopes to bridge the gap between health services and individuals who may face barriers such as language, accessibility, or lack of awareness.

NDAUK’s Commitment

NDAUK will coordinate volunteer teams of doctors to:

Provide individualised health counselling;

Support the educational aspect of the program through public talks and information leaflets;

Promote community partnerships for sustainable outreach.

This initiative reflects NDAUK’s long-standing vision of combining medical expertise with social responsibility, ensuring that no member of the Nepali community is left behind in their journey to better health.

A Message from NDAUK Leadership

“We are honoured to support this joint project with our community partners. This health camp is more than just free check-ups — it is about empowerment, prevention, and unity. Together, we are building a healthier Nepali community in the UK.”
